Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in New Delhi for the position of Operation Head. The Operation Head will oversee daily operations, manage and lead teams, develop and implement operational strategies, and ensure the efficient functioning of all processes. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, analyzing operational performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Operation Head will also focus on driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of service quality . 🔍 Job Summary: Sawalsha Leasing and Finance Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a results-driven and experienced Head of Operations to lead and manage the operational backbone of our payday loan division. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in short-term unsecured lending and a deep understanding of NBFC operations, compliance, team management, and tech-enabled loan processing. 🛠 Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational Strategy & Execution Define and implement end-to-end operational strategies aligned with business goals. Optimize loan lifecycle processes: origination, verification, approval, disbursement, and recovery. Manage daily branch and digital operational functions for seamless customer experience. 2. Process Improvement & Risk Management Build and enforce robust internal control systems to minimize operational risk. Continuously improve TATs for customer onboarding, KYC, underwriting, and fund disbursement. Ensure full compliance with RBI and NBFC regulatory requirements in coordination with legal and compliance teams. 3. Technology & Automation Collaborate with IT teams or external vendors to digitize payday loan operations. Drive automation in processes including credit bureau integration, eKYC, payment gateway linking, and loan management system (LMS) optimization. 4. Team Leadership Lead cross-functional teams: Credit, Collections, Customer Support, Field Operations. Set department KPIs, productivity benchmarks, and oversee training & performance evaluation. 5. Vendor & Partner Management Oversee third-party partners. Mitigate vendor risk and ensure service quality and compliance. 6. Collections & Recovery Oversight Lead collections strategy, manage delinquency buckets, and implement effective recovery measures. Monitor NPA trends and deploy early warning systems. 7. Reporting & MIS Generate and analyze reports on TATs, portfolio performance, default ratios, and operational risk. Present operational insights to senior management. 🎓 Qualifications & Experience: Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred). Experience: 5–7 years in NBFCs/Fintechs managing payday loans, microfinance, or personal loans. Expertise in: Regulatory frameworks, tech-enabled lending models, digital operations, and RBI compliance. Proven success in team leadership, process design, and operational Scaling. 💡 Preferred Skills: Knowledge of RBI Fair Practices Code and Digital Lending Guidelines. Familiarity with LMS, CRM, digital payment gateways, credit bureau integrations. Strong analytical and leadership abilities. Hands-on experience with operational audits, customer grievance resolution, and risk control frameworks.
