You will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs, guiding best practices, and mentoring junior developers. This role is ideal for someone with a strong software engineering background and a deep understanding of JavaScript and backend architecture. --- Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable Node.js applications and microservices. Architect and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs. Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions. Lead code reviews, mentor team members, and enforce coding standards and best practices. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability. Ensure security and data protection across applications. Write unit and integration tests; work with CI/CD pipelines. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. Participate in technical planning, sprint grooming, and team discussions. --- Requirements Must-Have: 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with at least 3 years using Node.js. Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and non-blocking I/O. Experience with Express.js, Koa, or similar frameworks. Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL. Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis. Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes). Experience with unit/integration testing frameworks like Mocha, Jest, or similar. Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Nice-to-Have: Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Knowledge of message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis Streams). Experience with serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda). Contributions to open-source projects or a strong technical portfolio.
