Job Description

Industry & Sector:

We are a fast-growing engineering services provider in the Renewable Energy domain, specializing in utility-scale and C&I solar photovoltaic (PV) projects across India and global markets. Our multidisciplinary teams deliver bankable designs, techno-commercial advisory, and execution support that accelerate the transition to clean energy.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end DC & AC engineering for rooftop, ground-mounted, and hybrid solar projects from 100 kW to 100 MW across domestic and international geographies.
  • Create optimized layouts, single-line diagrams, wiring schedules, and 3D shading analysis using AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, and PlantPredict.
  • Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and technical bid documentation; collaborate with procurement to evaluate vendors and negotiate specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with IEC, NEC, IS, and regional grid-code standards; perform energy yield assessments and reliability studies for bankability reports.
  • Manage a team of junior engineers: allocate tasks, review deliverables, conduct quality checks, and mentor on best practices and emerging PV technologies.
  • Interface with clients, EPC contractors, financiers, and certification bodies to resolve technical queries, secure approvals, and drive project milestones on schedule.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Renewable, or related engineering discipline.
  • 6–10 years designing grid-connected solar PV plants, including at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, PVsyst (loss diagram, variant comparison), and MS Project/Primavera for schedule tracking.
  • Proven knowledge of IEC 61724, NEC 690, IS 16221, and local DISCOM interconnection requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for client presentations and cross-functional coordination.

Preferred

  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Experience with bifacial modules, tracking systems, or storage-coupled PV plants.
  • Exposure to international codes (UL, NFPA) and bankability audits by tier-1 lenders.
