Our Client, a Leading Bank is looking out for a Manager/ AVP - Internal Communications to be based at Mumbai. Position Summary: The Manager / AVP – Internal Communications will be responsible for planning and delivering impactful internal communication strategies that support employee engagement, organizational alignment, and leadership communication. The role acts as a bridge between management and employees, helping to cascade key business messages and nurture a strong corporate culture within the bank. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Execution • Develop and execute internal communication plans aligned with the bank’s strategic priorities, transformation initiatives, and cultural goals. • Ensure consistent and transparent communication across departments, business units, and employee levels. Leadership & Executive Communication • Craft internal messaging and content for the leadership team, including speeches, town hall scripts, video messages, and Q&A briefs. • Organize and manage leadership visibility initiatives such as CEO updates, executive blogs, and fireside chats. Campaign Development & Delivery • Lead internal communication campaigns to support HR, compliance, operations, and marketing initiatives (e.g., policy changes, CSR programs, DEI, wellness). • Create toolkits, messaging frameworks, and communication cascades for effective rollout across regions or business units. Content Creation & Channel Management • Write, edit, and produce high-quality internal content for intranet, newsletters, internal social platforms, and employee engagement apps. • Maintain and enhance communication platforms, ensuring content is timely, relevant, and engaging. Employee Engagement & Experience • Support the design and execution of employee engagement programs, cultural events, and recognition campaigns. • Collaborate with HR and L&D teams to communicate programs that promote belonging, career growth, and continuous learning. Measurement & Reporting • Track and analyze communication effectiveness using engagement metrics, feedback surveys, and digital analytics. • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field. • 7–12 years of progressive experience in internal or corporate communications, preferably in a bank, financial institution, or regulated corporate environment. Key Skills: • Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling abilities. • Strategic mindset with attention to detail and execution. • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. • Proficiency in communication tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Yammer, or enterprise intranet platforms. • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and cross-functional inputs. Preferred Attributes: • Experience in employee engagement, employer branding, or change communication. • Familiarity with organizational transformation, digital banking, or agile ways of working. • Creative approach with an eye for design, content layout, and visual storytelling.
