The Innovation and Systems Architect will shape the company’s technological direction, leading engineering, data, and IT operations. This leader will be responsible for building scalable systems, driving product innovation, ensuring security, and aligning tech strategy with business goals. You’ll play a key role in decision-making at the highest level while keeping your finger on the pulse of emerging technologies. You’ll work closely with editorial, marketing, and business leadership to create tech systems that power impactful journalism in the digital era. Key Responsibilities Digital Transformation: Lead the modernization of Sanmarg’s tech stack including CMS, mobile apps, website, and content distribution channels. Platform Innovation: Oversee the development and performance of all digital properties ensuring speed, reliability, SEO optimization, and user experience. Tech Strategy: Create and execute a technology roadmap aligned with the business vision and editorial goals. AI & Automation: Evaluate and implement AI tools for content workflows, personalization, data analysis, and newsroom efficiency. Team Leadership: Build and lead an agile tech team covering development, DevOps, cybersecurity, and analytics. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with editorial, circulation, sales, and marketing teams to digitize processes and unlock data-driven insights. Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure data protection and digital security across all platforms and systems. Vendor & Partner Management: Evaluate and manage technology partnerships and external vendors. Ideal Candidate Profile 10+ years in technology leadership roles, ideally with exposure to media, publishing, or digital platforms. Proven experience leading digital transformation in traditional organizations. Strong knowledge of CMS systems, mobile platforms, cloud infrastructure, analytics, and cybersecurity. Familiarity with tools and trends in digital publishing, ad-tech, SEO, and audience engagement. Comfortable working with both editorial and business teams. Entrepreneurial mindset with a deep understanding of the media tech landscape. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degrees preferred) Show more Show less
