Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead and support the full spectrum of HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR principles with a practical understanding of workforce dynamics in technical or project-based environments such as geoscience, engineering, or energy sectors. Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning • Manage full-cycle recruitment for field scientists, technical staff, and support roles. • Partner with department leads to forecast hiring needs aligned with project timelines and budgets. • Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience tailored to both field and office-based staff. Employee Relations & Engagement • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and conflict resolution. • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven work environment across diverse project sites. • Support employee engagement through communication, feedback loops, and team-building initiatives. HR Compliance & Policy Management • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health & safety standards, and local/international employment regulations (especially in field/project locations). • Develop and implement HR policies tailored to the unique needs of field-based teams. Performance & Capability Development • Lead performance appraisal processes with input from technical supervisors and project managers. • Identify training needs, especially in technical and safety areas, and coordinate internal/external learning programs. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations • Administer payroll inputs, benefits programs, and leave management with accuracy and confidentiality. • Support fair and competitive compensation benchmarking in coordination with leadership. HR Analytics & Reporting • Maintain HR dashboards and provide insights into attrition, training, workforce distribution, and performance. • Monitor and report on workforce readiness for field deployment and rotation schedules. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. • 8+ years of experience in an HR generalist or managerial role, ideally within a technical or field-based industry. • Experience working with field teams, consultants, or contract staff in dynamic project environments is highly preferred. • Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance practices, and safety-related HR processes. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with technical staff, leadership, and external vendors. • Proficient in HRIS platforms and MS Office tools.
