Head of Business Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pan-India Distribution Leadership:

  • Build, strengthen, and manage the All-India distribution network across regions—North, South, East, West, and Central India.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term business development plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Channel Development:

  • Identify, appoint, and onboard new distributors/channel partners; manage distributor performance and drive partner engagement programs.
  • Team Management:

  • Lead, guide, and evaluate regional sales managers, area sales executives, and support staff to ensure field efficiency and goal alignment.
  • Product Promotion & Training:

  • Organize regular partner training on product lines (biometric devices, access control, smart locks, cameras, etc.) and SaaS-based solutions like

  • Target Monitoring:

  • Monitor sales KPIs, credit limits, outstanding collections, and monthly partner performance—including CDC terms and sales incentive schemes.
  • Channel Conflict Resolution:

  • Address disputes or overlaps among regional partners, ensure policy adherence, and enforce territory discipline.
  • Exhibition & Event Participation:

  • Lead business development efforts at trade shows (e.g., IFSEC, Smart Cities Expo) and regional distributor events.
  • Reporting & Analysis:

  • Submit periodic sales reports, market insights, competitor analysis, and growth forecasts to the management.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • Minimum

    10 years’ experience

    in B2B/Channel Sales—must have handled

    All-India distribution

    in biometric/CCTV/IoT/security hardware.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills—ability to inspire, direct and manage cross-regional sales teams.
  • Sound knowledge of dealer/distributor dynamics, channel credit handling, and incentive structuring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to create impactful business presentations and proposals.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
