Role Overview
As
Franchise Development Head
, you will lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of franchise expansion across India. Based out of the Surat head office, the role involves identifying potential markets, onboarding new franchise partners, developing the franchise network, and ensuring strong operational integration aligned with Zota’s brand and growth vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Franchise Network Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to grow the retail pharmacy franchise network across key cities and regions in India.
- Market Identification & Analysis: Conduct market research and feasibility studies to identify high-potential areas for new franchise outlets.
- Franchise Acquisition & Onboarding: Identify, evaluate, and onboard potential franchisees; conduct due diligence and ensure alignment with company standards and policies.
- Business Development Strategy: Create strategic roadmaps for franchise growth targets, regional development plans, and budgeting.
- Franchisee Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for franchise partners; ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and partner satisfaction.
- Operational Oversight: Work with cross-functional teams (supply chain, marketing, compliance, legal, training, etc.) to support seamless franchise setup and operations.
- Brand Compliance: Ensure all franchisees adhere to brand guidelines, SOPs, and quality standards set by the organization.
- Training & Support: Coordinate and oversee franchisee training programs covering operations, sales, customer service, and product knowledge.
- Legal & Regulatory Coordination: Liaise with the legal team to ensure franchise agreements and operations comply with applicable laws and internal policies.
- Reporting & Review: Maintain accurate tracking systems and reports on franchise performance, expansion pipeline, and business metrics.
Education
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Retail, Franchise Management, or Sales Strategy will be a plus.
Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in franchise development, retail business expansion, or B2B channel sales (preferably in pharma, FMCG, healthcare, or retail domains).
- Proven track record in successfully expanding and managing large-scale franchise networks across India.
