Job Description

Job Overview:

Embedded Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop embedded firmware for
ESP32/ESP8266
platforms using C/C++ or MicroPython
Integrate and optimise
audio input/output
, including microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and audio codecs
Work on
real-time signal processing
, voice commands, and audio playback functionalities
Schematic design, PCB development, and hardware debugging for embedded systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for prototyping and product development
Interface with peripherals like I2C, SPI, UART, ADC, DAC, etc.
Conduct thorough testing, validation, and troubleshooting of both firmware and hardware
Maintain documentation for firmware, hardware, and testing procedures

Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field
2–5 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development
Proficiency with
ESP32/ESP8266
microcontrollers and development tools (ESP-IDF, Arduino, etc.)
Experience working with
audio hardware components
and audio signal flow
Strong understanding of digital and analog electronics
Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., KiCad, Altium, Eagle)
Solid grasp of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, BLE, Wi-Fi)
Debugging skills using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and multimeters
Experience in power optimisation and working with battery-powered devices is a plus

Good to Have:

Experience with voice assistant integration or audio streaming
Knowledge of FreeRTOS or other RTOS environments
Exposure to manufacturing and DFM/DFT considerations
Prior experience with cloud-connected IoT systems
