Role Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of data platforms, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Incident Response:
  Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, conducting root cause analyses and implementing preventive measures.
• System Optimization:
  Analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with data engineering, DevOps, and security teams to coordinate deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Documentation:
  Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Compliance and Security:
  Ensure that data platforms adhere to organizational policies and industry regulations, implementing necessary controls and audits.
• Innovation:
  Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing new tools and practices to enhance platform operations.

Role Purpose:

• Experience: 8+ years in platform operations, system administration, or related roles, with a focus on data platforms and cloud environments.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Strong knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Scripting Skills:
  Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation purposes.
• Problem-Solving:
  Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system issues and implement effective solutions.
• Communication:
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications:
  Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Data Platform Expertise:
  Experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark), data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), and database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Monitoring Tools:
  Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Agile Methodologies:
  Experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
