Job Description Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Location: Ahmedabad, India Job Type: Full-Time (On-site) Experience Required: 15+ years in software engineering and digital transformation, including 5+ years in strategic technology leadership Position Summary We are looking for an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technological growth and innovation of our FinTech start-up. The ideal candidate is an ideal leader with deep experience in Enterprise Platforms, digital transformation, security frameworks, AI/ML innovation, and managing cross-functional engineering teams. This is a leadership role with a strong focus on execution, architecture, and collaboration with executive stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Technology Strategy & Architecture Define and implement the company’s long-term technology roadmap aligned with overall business objectives. Lead multi-disciplinary teams in development, QA, DevOps, and support, ensuring engineering excellence. Guide development cycles, conduct code reviews, and introduce emerging technologies as needed. Champion agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD best practices to improve delivery and innovation Engineering Leadership &Execution Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and critical development cycles. Provide technical mentorship across frontend, backend, mobile, and cloud infrastructure. Champion best practices in software engineering and resolve complex technical challenges. Team Leadership Manage and grow a dynamic team of ~15 engineers, including frontend, backend, DevOps, and QA professionals. Implement agile methodologies, oversee sprint planning, and conduct performance reviews. Cultivate a collaborative team environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with the CEO, product, design, and other stakeholders to translate business goals into tech initiatives. Represent the technology vision to investors, board members, and external partners. Coordinate implementation of compliance, cybersecurity programs, and enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, DMS). Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience designing and scaling complex web and mobile applications. Hands-on knowledge of modern tech stacks and cloud platforms (preferably AWS). Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and system architecture. Experience leading engineering teams of 15–20 people in a start-up or scale-up environment. AL/ML is a plus if implemented earlier Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in stakeholder and third-party collaboration. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
