Role: Assistant Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-driven Senior Consultant – Power BI who can independently manage and deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, designing scalable data models, building insightful dashboards and reports, and ensuring seamless integration with various data sources. This role demands strong expertise in data visualization, storytelling with data, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while driving business value through actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities:

Here's a more detailed breakdown of the Power BI Senior consultant responsibilities:

1. Design and Implementation:

Data Modeling:

Creating data models, establishing relationships between tables, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes:

Designing and implementing processes for extracting data from various sources, transforming it, and loading it into Power BI.

Reporting and Visualization:

Developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop.

Security:

Implementing data-level security and object-level security to protect sensitive data.

Self-Service BI:

Establishing models and configurations to support self-service BI for users to create their own reports and insights.

2. Development and Maintenance:

DAX (Data Analysis Expressions):

Creating DAX calculations and resolving issues related to loops and hierarchies.

Performance Tuning:

Optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and scalability.

Troubleshooting:

Resolving issues related to data loading, model integrity, and report functionality.

Integration:

Integrating Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics or API automation.

Documentation:

Documenting data models, ETL processes, and report designs for future reference.

3. Collaboration and Leadership:

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather requirements, and align solutions with business objectives.

Team Leadership:

Leading Power BI projects, managing timelines, and ensuring successful delivery.

Knowledge Sharing:

Mentoring junior team members and promoting knowledge sharing within the organization.

Continuous Improvement:

Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends in the data analytics and visualization space.

4. Technical Expertise:

Power BI Tools: Proficiency in using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and other related tools.

SQL: Strong knowledge of SQL and other data manipulation languages.
