External reporting finance team is involved in producing the financial statements based on the statutory rules and as per the local GAAP/ IFRS requirements on a quarterly basis. The team is also involved in preparation of the various reports and forms as prescribed by the Insurance regulatory authorities of various countries where AXA XL writes its insurance business from on a quarterly and annual basis. The team produces various reports for the regulator to show we maintain sufficient level of solvency and liquidity as prescribed by the regulator. The team prepares various reports as prescribed by corporate close calendar. The team performs data clean ups and prepares various source system & other reconciliations to support various stakeholders and auditors

What you’ll be doing
What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Providing support in quarter end and year end reporting for Irish entity (UK GAAP based reporting).
- Prepare and post journals related to ceding contracts and investment adjustments accurately and timely.
- Finalizing of Annual financial statements including Notes to Accounts for the legal entity.
- Support audit requirements and address related queries effectively.
- Preparing reconciliation between HFM and EFRL.
- Support in Intercompany analysis & corporate reporting.
- Responsible for adhoc support as & when required.
- Focus on the automation and simplification of templates and data processes to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in projects as required to ensure that financial data are handled in full accordance with statutory requirements.
You will report to Manager, Chief Accounting & Capital Office.
What you’ll bringWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Required Skills And Abilities
- CA with relevant years of experience OR MBA Finance/Postgraduate/CA Inter with relevant experience in reputed organization.
- Accounting knowledge, with excellent understanding of Financial Statements (P&L and BS).
- Good command over MS Excel.
- Insurance/Reinsurance knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, VBA, Macros etc will be added advantage.
Desired Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of systems like the Genius, frame, Destiny, Oracle EFR, Oracle EBS, HFM is preferred.
- Knowledge of IFRS/UKGAAP is required.
- Effective analytical skills and the ability to work self-directedly and bring tasks to closure.
- Able to work extended hours during critical times.
