Job Description

Role Summary We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Strategy Manager to join the Group Strategy team supporting the Vice Chairman’s Office . This is a high-visibility role offering exposure to strategic decision-making at the group level across a diversified business portfolio. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of the GM – Strategy and act as a key resource in driving strategic planning, financial analysis, MIS reporting, project management, and handling ad hoc executive assignments. This role demands strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Planning & Business Support Contribute to the development and refinement of corporate and business unit strategies aligned with the Vice Chairman’s vision. Support annual business planning, strategic reviews, and performance tracking processes. Prepare strategic documents, presentations, and briefing notes for internal leadership and board-level discussions. Research emerging business trends, competitive landscapes, and macroeconomic indicators to support long-term strategic direction. 2. Financial Analysis & Business Modelling Build and maintain complex financial models for business cases, investments, and strategic decisions. Conduct profitability, variance, and scenario analyses to support key recommendations. Collaborate with finance teams to validate assumptions and consolidate financial inputs for group-level reviews. Support investment evaluations, ROI tracking, and business performance deep-dives. 3. MIS, Dashboards & Business Intelligence Develop and manage robust MIS frameworks to track operational and financial KPIs across business units. Create executive dashboards, reports, and trackers for regular updates to the Vice Chairman and Strategy Head. Coordinate with internal teams to streamline data collection and ensure timely, accurate reporting. Analyze deviations and generate actionable insights for senior leadership. 4. Project Management & Initiative Tracking Drive execution and tracking of cross-functional strategic projects and transformation initiatives. Maintain project charters, timelines, risk registers, and follow-up mechanisms for timely completion. Engage and coordinate with business unit leaders, functional heads, and external partners to ensure milestone delivery. Prepare updates, progress reports, and red-flag alerts for the GM – Strategy and Vice Chairman. 5. Ad Hoc & Confidential Assignments Support the GM – Strategy and Vice Chairman on high-priority and confidential assignments. Conduct rapid research, analysis, or benchmarking based on evolving business or strategic needs. Draft discussion notes, briefing papers, and executive summaries on short notice. Provide flexible, all-round support to the Strategy Office as per dynamic requirements.
