About the Role

Software Test Engineer

 If you're someone who enjoys breaking things to make them better, understands the importance of clean testing processes, and loves uncovering edge cases others miss — this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements and technical specifications to develop detailed test strategies
• Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases across the SDLC
• Perform functional, integration, unit, acceptance, end-to-end, and smoke testing
• Monitor system errors, report bugs, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely fixes
• Evaluate written code and identify deviations from specifications
• Conduct product testing post-deployment to ensure release stability
• Organize phased testing strategies and align with QA engineers on project milestones
• Document bugs, track their resolution, and contribute to continuous quality improvement
• Collaborate closely with the development and product teams in an Agile environment

Requirements

• 0–1 year of hands-on experience in software or QA testing
• Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies: Postman API, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Functional Testing, Acceptance Testing, End-to-End Testing, Smoke Testing
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile practices
• Experience using version control tools like Git and platforms like GitHub
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Attention to detail and a mindset for continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to Have

• Exposure to automation tools or scripting for test automation
• Experience with bug tracking systems like JIRA or similar
• Understanding of API testing and load/performance testing basics
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and QA in DevOps workflows
