Software Engineer - Java and React

Primary Responsibilities

• Development and Implementation:
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code, and participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment
• Code Reviews and Quality Assurance:
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
• Collaborate with QA teams to identify and fix bugs, and ensure the software meets quality standards
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
• Mentorship and Training:
• Mentor and support junior developers, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and technical challenges
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of the development team
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
• Continuously improve development processes and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Documentation:
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for software applications, including design specifications, user guides, and release notes
• Ensure that documentation is clear, comprehensive, and up-to-date
• Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
• Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges in a timely manner.
• Provide support for production systems, including troubleshooting and fixing bugs, and implementing enhancements
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications

• API Development: 3+ years of experience in designing and developing RESTful web services
• React JS: 3+ years of experience in React JS for creating interactive user interfaces
• PostGres: Proficiency in relational database management using PostGres
• Hasura GraphQL: Proficiency in Hasura GraphQL for building enterprise-grade GraphQL backends
• Deployment: Proficiency in deployment processes using Git Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
• Version Control: Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaboration
• Problem-Solving: Proven solid analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues
• Communication: Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Mentorship: Proven ability to mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and coding standards
• Continuous Improvement: Proven commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
