About The Role We are looking for a meticulous SDET who will be responsible for the design and implementation of automated tests and test environments for the Motive products. The Engineer must have a passion for diving into data, technology, be a problem solver, and have a desire to improve software quality within a team environment. This role is critical to us in ensuring technology functions efficiently and effectively, minimizes errors, and helps to meet software quality goals. What You'll Do Monitor automation metrics for continuous quality & process improvements. Collaborate with the various teams at Motive to understand the automation needs. Lead programmatic best practices by example, be a hands on programmer and tech guru. Estimating efforts, identify risks, devise mitigation and meet project’s automation schedules. Contribute/Maintain test automation framework development. What We're Looking For 3 to 5 years of strong experience in developing test automation for Backend and Dashboard (Must have) Expert level knowledge in one or more programming languages - Java, Python, etc. Experience in industry best practices in SW development processes: Unit testing, code coverage, OO design, code quality, automation, code reviews etc. Proven ownership and delivery of automation for a sizable product or product component, a strong sense of independence, and self-direction. Experience working with large codebases, writing entirely new code and maintaining existing code. Ability to work with cross-functional teams, prioritize automation requirements, work on them and deliver in a timely fashion. Knowledge in CI/CD Environment Experience in working with CI/CD tools. Proficient in Git, Bitbucket, or Version control tool. Working knowledge of SQL, AWS, Database System Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motive's core values.
