Role Overview

Software Development Engineer I

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and critically assess code responses produced by LLMs across various programming languages and paradigms
• Use expert judgment to select optimal solutions from multiple AI-generated outputs
• Make decisions with customer-centric thinking to ensure selected code is production-ready, secure, and efficient
• Write and develop clear, high-quality coding demonstrations that represent ideal solutions
• Provide actionable feedback to improve the LLM’s code generation capabilities and accuracy
• Work closely with AI researchers and software engineers to enhance model performance
• Remain up to date with trends in software development, code review practices, and AI tooling
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in software development with exposure to multiple programming paradigms
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages (Python and JavaScript are preferred)
• Strong ability to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills under ambiguity
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Experience in technical writing, especially involving code samples, tutorials, or documentation
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to evaluating or working with AI/ML systems related to code generation or NLP
• Familiarity with various software design methodologies, architectural patterns, and testing frameworks
• Understanding of core machine learning principles and how they intersect with software engineering
• Experience contributing to coding standards, style guides, or internal developer tools
• Passionate about code quality, developer productivity, and the future of AI-assisted development
