Senior System Tester

• At the outset of the project, lead test efforts in collaboration with the other stakeholders, devise the test process & objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies, and test plan applicable to the project.
• Provide test estimates.
• Recognize when test automation & other distinct types of functional and non-functional testing are appropriate and, if it is, plan the effort, select the tools, and work with automation engineers to design and implement an automation framework, and build the repository and libraries.
• Lead firsthand and guide the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of the test cases, test procedures, and test suites. Identifying test subsets to be leveraged from the existing test suite for the smoke, regression, automation & performance tests.
• Ensure proper configuration management of the test ware produced, thoroughness in test cases, and traceability of the tests to the test basis.
• Peer review, Self-review, test effectiveness and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
• As test execution comes near, make sure the test environment is put into place before test execution and managed during test execution.
• Schedule the tests for execution and then monitor, measure, control, and report on the test progress, the product quality status, and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.
• Lead and host Defect triages.
• Manage test cases and test results using JIRA.
• Produce summary reports on test status. Provide the RCA report, and ensure each test execution has the evidence and respective status documented.
• Create the resiliency throughout QA team as based on experience there are situation where key person are not available during the crucial test execution. Cross knowledge transition within the team members (preferably onshore) so that everyone is well equipped with module knowledge. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and testing practices.
• Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 4-8 years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.

• Strong experience with automated testing using various automation tools like Selenium.

• strong experience of managing test cycle using JIRA • Proficiency in testing applications built on Angular, .NET Core API, and SQL Server. • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

• Strong critical thinking skills and diligence.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
