We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Software Developer to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Senior Manager of Software Development at ICON, you will lead a team of developers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that support clinical research operations. You will play a key role in driving innovation, ensuring the quality of software deliverables, and fostering collaboration between development teams and other stakeholders.
What You Will Be Doing:

Leading the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.

Managing and mentoring a team of software developers, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, IT, and clinical operations, to gather requirements and align development with business objectives.

Ensuring software solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with regulatory standards relevant to clinical research.

Driving continuous improvement in software development practices, tools, and methodologies, implementing best practices such as Agile and DevOps.

Monitoring project progress, managing risks, and resolving issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, applying them to improve software development processes and outcomes.
Your Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) is a plus.

Extensive experience in software development, with a proven track record of managing development teams and delivering complex software solutions.

Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.

Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks, such as Java, Python, .NET, or similar technologies.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentorship and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.

Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to navigate technical challenges and provide solutions that meet both business and technical needs.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment on development objectives.
