For more information, please visit: www.sattva.co.inThe OpportunityWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Consultant – Communications & Outreach to lead stakeholder engagement, communications strategy, and collateral development for a national-level government platform. This role involves close collaboration with senior officials across central and state governments, requiring a blend of strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and visual storytelling. The ideal candidate will bring over 8 years of experience in government consulting and communication design, with a strong grasp of how to engage diverse stakeholders through high-impact presentations, visual material, and curated convenings.Key responsibilitiesCommunications & Adoption Strategy
  • Lead communication and outreach efforts for the program, ensuring strong visibility, positioning, and credibility across government and institutional partners.
  • Design and execute strategic outreach plans tailored for both central and state government functionaries.
  • Liaise directly with senior government stakeholders and partners to co-develop communication products and engagement plans.
Content & Collateral Development
  • Create high-quality, visually compelling communication materials (e.g., presentations, briefs, toolkits, social media snippets) using tools like PowerPoint, Canva, and others.
  • Translate complex information into clear, engaging, and action-oriented formats suited to government audiences.
Events & Convenings
  • Conceptualize and manage workshops, webinars, and on-ground events in partnership with government stakeholders.
  • Prepare and execute event communications (agenda, invites, background notes, collateral) and oversee production and documentation.
  • Internal Coordination & Delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate communications into the overall project strategy.
  • Drive timely delivery of all outreach and communication deliverables with a strong quality focus.
Project Management
  • Proactively take ownership of the delivery of implementation projects, collaborating with internal teams and multiple external partners as required.
  • Develop and execute a project plan from inception for complex projects; establish and maintain an effective governance routine to monitor progress.
  • Identify critical project milestones and manage resource allocation accordingly to ensure timely project outcomes.
  • Independently predict and manage short- and long-term project risks; ensure timely mitigation with the support of the engagement manager and senior leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Establish credibility with senior management within the client organization through a strategic understanding of the client's organization, high levels of sector knowledge, and timely project delivery.
  • Articulate perspectives to clients using pertinent information, compelling arguments, and illustrative examples; adept at posing the right questions to the client and offering constructive pushback when required
  • Plays an advisory role to the client and is able to influence client decisions at a senior management level
  • Establish frequent and effective communication channels with the client, on-ground partners, and other key stakeholders involved in the project.
People Leadership and Institutional Building
  • Enable the growth and performance of junior team members, typically analysts, associate consultants and consultants, by guiding their development at Sattva through frequent structured feedback and inputs.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members with a first-mile thinking approach to ensure efficiency in problem-solving and offer a strategic big picture perspective.
  • Participate in and lead internal strategic initiatives at a business unit level that contribute to the efficient functioning of the organization and foster a strong working culture.

Key Qualifications And Experiences

  • 6-8 years of experience in government consulting, public policy, or institutional communication with a proven track record of leading outreach or stakeholder initiatives.
  • Postgraduate degree in public policy, communications, development management, or related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; working proficiency in Hindi preferred.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Canva, and other visual design/collateral development tools.
  • Strong organizational and program management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Prior experience working with senior bureaucrats, ministries, or multi-stakeholder governance projects is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, structure, and deliver high-stakes communication with attention to detail.
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with a high level of ownership, humility, and drive.
