Primary Responsibilities:

  • Role will be to ensure that maintenance, support, and upgrade, renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance
  • Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services
  • Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory
  • Maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost. Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information
  • Communicate through email, group meetings, and presentations to end-users, management, developers, and vendors
  • Respond to requests from end-users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information
  • Understanding of IT Network, Security and Server infrastructure
  • Recommend improvements to software license management requirements and policies
  • Document and maintain software license management procedures and work instructions based on the process and policies
  • Provide reports and recommendations to use in making software acquisition and discontinuance decisions
  • Identify and report license compliance issues and provide recommendations to resolve the compliance issue
  • Lead different initiatives and related projects for which Project Management knowledge should be added advantage
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • BTech or equivalent
  • 4+ years of Software Asset Management experience and Compliance experience
  • IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience (Service Now, SNOW knowledge must)
  • Knowledge about SEZ process
  • Knowledge about SEZ guidelines and local law of land
  • Knowledge of license metrics based on the software licensing model
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comprehend and interpret complex software licensing agreements and maintenance contracts
  • Complete Understanding and knowledge about end-to-end life cycle of Software Asset Management
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Proven ability to collaborate with peers to complete projects
  • Proven ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or knowledge in P2P, Vendor Management
  • Experience or knowledge in Macro/VBA
  • Exposure to Flexera/Snow, Ariba, Mercury, Oracle, SAP
