We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Backend Developer (WordPress) to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing custom WordPress plugins, themes, and backend functionality. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality WordPress solutions for our clients and leading complex backend projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Custom Development: Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins, themes, and backend functionalities.
  • Database Management: Design, manage, and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure WordPress sites are optimized for speed, security, and scalability.
  • Code Quality: Maintain high standards of code quality, including code reviews and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers and UI/UX designers to integrate backend functionality with user-facing elements.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers, fostering a collaborative development environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve our backend solutions.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

3 years of experience in WordPress backend development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

Skills

  • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress development.
  • Experience with custom plugin and theme development.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and best practices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Experience with performance optimization and security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred:

Knowledge of modern backend frameworks, RESTful APIs, and cloud hosting environments.
