Job Description

The Regional Sales Head is responsible for driving and overseeing the sales within a specific geographic region. This includes developing sales strategies, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and growth objectives. The role requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities


1. Corporate software Sales


Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the region in line with the company’s overall goals and objectives.


Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and formulate action plans.


Set clear regional sales targets and KPIs in collaboration with the senior management team.


2. Team Leadership and Management


Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales managers and executives to achieve their individual and team targets.


Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous development.


Provide regular performance feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement necessary training and development programs.


3. Sales Execution and Relationship Management


Oversee the execution of regional sales strategies to ensure targets are met consistently.


Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners in the region.


Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by understanding client needs and delivering appropriate solutions.


4. Budgeting and Forecasting


Develop and manage the region’s sales budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.


Forecast sales performance for the region and report progress regularly to senior leadership.


5. Market Analysis and Reporting


Conduct regular market research to monitor competitor activity and identify new business opportunities.


Provide detailed reports on regional sales performance, market trends, customer insights, and forecasts to senior leadership.


6. Collaboration and Cross-functional Coordination


Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to ensure alignment of sales activities with business initiatives.


Ensure smooth communication between the regional sales team and headquarters.

Key Qualifications


Education:


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.


MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.



Experience:


Minimum of 10 +years of experience in sales, with at least 5 +years in software sales.


Proven track record of achieving sales targets .


Strong understanding of the market dynamics in the relevant region.



Skills:


Strong leadership and team management skills.


Excellent communication and negotiation skills.


Ability to think strategically and execute plans effectively.


Proficiency in sales management software and CRM tools.


Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.



Other:


Willingness to travel within the region as needed.


Ability to adapt to a fast-changing market environment.
