Role: Front-end Intern (React Native)

We’re looking for a proactive Front-end Intern who thrives on practical problem-solving and innovative thinking. You’ll dive straight into our codebase, collaborate with Senior Developer and founder, and help turn our MVP into a polished, production-ready mobile experience.

What You’ll Do

• Feature Development: Build and enhance React Native screens for apps—search, booking flows, profile management, analytics dashboards.

• State Management: Implement complex state flows using Redux, Context API or Recoil to handle live slot calendars, loyalty points, offers, and notifications.

• UI & UX: Translate Figma/Sketch designs into high-quality mobile UI components using libraries like React Native Paper or React Native Elements.

• API Integration: Consume RESTful and GraphQL endpoints for authentication, turf discovery, payments (Razorpay), and analytics; handle loading/error states and offline sync.

• Performance Optimization: Profile and optimize app startup time, list virtualization, image loading, and memory usage; ensure smooth 60fps interactions.

• Innovation & Prototyping: Rapidly prototype new ideas and present recommendations to the team.

• Testing & CI/CD: Write unit and integration tests (Jest, React Native Testing Library); contribute to our automated build and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, Fastlane).

What We’re Looking For

• Practical React Native Experience: Built at least one end-to-end React Native app or substantial feature (hooks, navigation, native module linking).

• JavaScript/TypeScript Mastery: Comfort with modern JS (ES6+), TypeScript typings, async/await, Promises.

• Mobile-First Mindset: Understanding of responsive layouts, touch interactions, and platform differences (iOS vs. Android).

• Problem-Solving Attitude: Can dissect ambiguous requirements, propose multiple solutions, weigh trade-offs, and pick the most pragmatic approach.

• Innovative Thinking: Passion for brainstorming new features or UI patterns; eager to stay up-to-date with the latest in React Native and mobile UX.

• Collaboration: Clear communicator, comfortable working in small cross-functional teams.

• Self-Starter: Able to take ownership of tasks, learn quickly, and push code to production with minimal hand-holding.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with Redux Saga, Recoil or MobX for state orchestration.

• Exposure to payment SDKs (Razorpay, Stripe) in mobile.

• Exposure to Supabase.

• Experience with push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging or OneSignal).

• Knowledge of native Swift/Objective-C or Java/Kotlin for custom bridging.

• Basic UI/UX design sense or Figma prototyping skills.

• Understanding of analytics SDKs (Amplitude).
