Project Manager

Roles & Responsibilities: Experience: 13 to 18 years i) Design & validation of complex fixtures used for Welding, Assembly, Checking, lifting, handling, transportation, testing of large assemblies/products for different OEM, covering industries like Auto Industry. ii) Proficient in DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) with approach to structured problem-solving and decision-making. iii) Should be able to translate user requirements into functional a technical solution iv) Demonstrate creativity and ingenuity in applying engineering principles and practices. v) Devise innovative solutions to existing manufacturing problems. vi) Use solid Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processes. vii) Should continuously update and develop his/her own knowledge viii) Train other members of the team on theory and design of existing/new equipment. ix) Ability to use CAD software (Solid works, Catia V5) to facilitate design of equipment. x) Expertise in Mfg domain specialized in welding shops. Project management and other communication i) A people manager, dynamically leading a team of professionals, continually motivating them to exceed expectations while strictly following plans and objectives. ii) Should know complete process of RFI/P/Q and able to demonstrate project management skills to convert enquiry into project. iii) Analyse project profitability, revenue, margins & utilization. iv) manage different accounts through proven customer interface skills, with ability to influence both internal and external customers v) Should be able to manage big team for Tool Design vi) Drive critical project parameters as project timelines, first time right deliveries and other project KPIs. vii) Manage & coordinate project tasks w/ individual manufacturing & technology centres, & third-party integration & solution providers. viii) Be meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all procedures. ix) Adhere to applicable Quality System requirements and supports process audits x) Accurate Project estimation for large projects and ability to close the project with minimum deviation from initial estimation, perform Change Management Process xi) Should be able to manage and complete invoicing process for the ongoing projects for various customer xii) Initiate and involve different suppliers as and when required xiii) Should be able to do supplier's onboarding/negotiation/PO process for sub-contracted work Technical Skills i) Hands-on experience on tools and fixture design covering variety of equipment type such as Welding fixture (BIW), Assembly fixtures, checking fixtures, Test Fixtures, lifting fixtures. Experience in Designing of Material handling/storage devices, transportation devices. ii) Hands on experience on applying different industry standards used developing equipment defined above. iii) Proficient Six Sigma knowledge; Advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts. iv) Experience in working with machine OEMs or SPM manufacturers v) Uses solid concepts of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and implements them into new product development. vi) Solid understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and/or mechanical machine drawings, including industry specifications. vii) Strong understanding of applicable manufacturing processes. Solid knowledge of vendors, and procurement methods. viii) Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability. ix) Excellent understanding of product drawings, including GD&T and specification flow down. x) Proficient comprehension of cell and plant layout drawings. Expertise and Qualification: BIW Tool Design Project Planning, Management and communication i) Proficient in Microsoft Office. ii) Strong computer skills iii) Hands on skills on Cad software (Solid works, Catia V5) c) Project management and other communication i) Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills. ii) Efficient Project planning tools. iii) Solid technical writing skills. iv) Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Solid understanding of Root Cause Analysis. v) Must have the ability to become proficient in company systems, processes, and tools.
