Role: Head – Project Engineering for T&D, Railways, & Solar( Design & Detail Engineering )

Experience required: 22 - 25 Years

Location: Corporate office, Hyderabad

Purpose of the role:

Head Projects role is to plan and oversee project from the initial ideation to completion. Purpose of this role is to

pre-bid engineering

2. Contribute for Execution/Revenues by provoding accurate, optimum on time detailed engineering

designs/Drawings

•Head of Engineering manages the day-to-day activities of the engineering teams as well as the management and execution of site development projects against delivery commitments and project plans. The Head of Engineering is also in charge of the management of the department’s staffing, resources, and mentoring, and maintaining a best-in-class engineering department.

•The Head of Engineering stays abreast of leading and cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices. He absorbs relevant and suitable technology based on the projected benefits to the engineering development departments.

•Participation in contract review meetings with customers at pre-tendering stage.

•Review of tender documents and understanding customer requirements at pre-tendering stage.

•Preparation of pre- bid technical documentation and tender BOM for EHV substations, EHV transmission lines, distribution, Railways projects and Solar Power projects.

•Conducting the pre-tendering site survey to understand site conditions.

•Preparation of detailed design& development plan for various projects.

•Internal competency development to meet requirements.

Preparation of designs& drawings such as SLDs, Electrical layouts, earth mat layouts, Illumination layouts, DSLP layouts, Bus bar designs, short circuit calculations and cable& termination scheduling for substations.

•Verification of vendor’s GTPs& drawings with respect to relevant IS and IEC standards.

•Ensuring on-time customer approvals for designs& drawings from customers such as MSETCL, AP TRANSCO, TS TRANSCO, OPTCL, KSPDCL, APSPCL, APSPDCL & KPTCL.

•Engineering clearances for various equipment& material for procurement.

•Ensuring the high standards in seamless coordination with execution teams, suppliers and internal departments for smooth execution of projects.

•Conceptualization& detailed design preparation for Power infrastructure for the industries.

•Keeps up with new technologies and identifies correct schemes for various T&D, Solar& Industrial projects.

Hands on experience on design software such PVsyst, E-TAP, Auto CAD Tools& MS Office.

•Hands on experience in collaborating with stakeholders and manage contracts and relations with internal/external customers, vendors, subcontractors , consultants, and other stakeholders for smooth execution of projects.

Nature of Experience Required:

Vital Experience:

•Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts Maintain positive client relations ,attend various meetings to support client Report on operational performance and suggest improvements

•Lead and manage team of Design Leads, Design Engineers and Draughts persons

•Working in a leadership role last 5 years in the engineering department where he seeks excellence in all engineering disciplines inclusive of Pre-bid engineering, Detailed engineering of Primary& secondary designs for EHV&UHV substations& Transmission lines and large MW solar projects.

•Required to have understanding of leading and execution of projects for different geographies / clients / utilities. She / he should have detailed knowledge of the equipment to be installed and the market conditions for vendor engineering.

•Should have the understanding of engineering activities covering Generation

Estimate, Overall plant Layout, DC SLD, Solar Module selection, Inverter Sizing,

•SMB, Earthing Layouts, Cable Sizing Calculations of Solar PV Power Plants.

•Required to have knowledge on National and International Codes and Standards.

Should have the understanding of engineering activities covering SLD

•Preparation, Layout Engineering, Earthing, Cable Routing, Lighting, Lightning Protection, Cable Tray Routing etc.

•Should be capable of performing design & sizing calculations of Busbar, UPS, Battery, LT Transformer, Earthing Conductor, calculations (Short circuit force.).

Desirable Experience:

•Excellent track record on successful technology tie-ups/JVs/ collaborations

Should have presented technical papers on T&D, Solar technology/ market potential etc

•Review Vendor evaluation (w.r.t. technical specification requirement of the client)

•Extend support for BOQ, review of pre-bid offers and technical submissions & provide

•post-tender clarifications (after clarification from vendors) to the contracts team

Skills:

etailed Engineering of 765/400/220kV, 400/220kV, 220/132KV, 132/33kV Sub-Stations, EHV Transmission lines and it's associated equipment.
