Principal Product Manager


Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our Cloud FinOps and Cost Optimization product suite. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering innovative capabilities that help customers gain visibility into their cloud spend, optimize usage, and align cloud costs with business outcomes across multi-account, multi-tenant environments.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success, and partner closely with AWS and other cloud providers to ensure we deliver high-impact FinOps solutions for our customers.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Define and own the product strategy for FinOps and cost optimization capabilities including budgeting, forecasting, cost visibility, chargeback/showback, savings insights, and cloud cost governance.
  2. Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery, roadmap planning, and requirements definition to delivery, launch, and adoption.
  3. Partner with engineering to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that leverage cost and usage data sources like AWS CUR, AWS Billing Conductor, Cost Optimization Hub, and Trusted Advisor.
  4. Translate FinOps frameworks (e.g., Crawl-Walk-Run maturity, FOCUS standard) into product experiences tailored for enterprise IT, CloudOps, and MSP personas.
  5. Collaborate with FinOps practitioners and customers to understand use cases and ensure product features solve real-world cloud cost challenges.
  6. Define KPIs and success metrics to evaluate the performance and ROI of cost optimization features.
  7. Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product direction.
  8. Evangelize the product vision internally and externally, including training go-to-market teams and supporting strategic customer engagements.


Desired Skills


Must Have

  1. Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of billing and pricing models, including Cost Reports (AWS/Azure /GCP), Savings Plans, RI, BCD, and cost optimization tools.
  2. Product: Experience working with or building SaaS products in the Cloud FinOps space.
  3. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in product analytics, A/B testing, and data-driven decision-making.
  4. Execution: Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy. Proven ability to ship features that impact acquisition, retention, or expansion metrics.
  5. Leadership: Strong cross-functional collaboration and mentorship skills.


Good to Have


  1. FinOps Certified Practitioner or experience working with the FinOps Foundation.
  2. Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) or multi-tenant cost reporting platforms.
  3. Familiarity with Enterprise and MSP business models (pricing, revenue streams).


Experience

  • 10+ years in B2B SaaS product management, with 2+ years specifically in Cloud FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud infrastructure products.
