MERN Stack Developer

We are seeking a Senior Backend-Heavy MERN Full Stack Developer with 4+ years of professional experience, especially with Node.js and backend architecture. You should be highly proficient in backend systems, API design, and database management, while also being capable of collaborating across the stack. This role demands strong technical leadership, mentorship capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure backend systems using Node.js.

● Architect and optimize complex database schemas on MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL.

● Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs with performance, maintainability, and security in mind.

● Identify and resolve bottlenecks in backend services to enhance system scalability and performance.

● Collaborate with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-based deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure).

● Provide technical mentorship to junior developers through code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming.

● Maintain high code quality by enforcing best practices, design patterns, and testing standards.

● Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless API integration and support SSR and SEO best practices when needed.

● Take ownership of backend infrastructure and help shape technical direction and architecture decisions.

Required Skills & Experience:
● 4+ years of total experience. At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with Node.js and at least 1+ year of experience with Frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript.

● Deep understanding of at least one database MongoDB/PostgreSQL/MySQL and data modeling for high-performance applications.

● Strong expertise in API design, especially with RESTful and GraphQL.

● Strong understanding of security principles in web applications.

● Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD processes.

● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

● Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

● Experience leading agile teams or playing a tech lead role.

● Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

● Contributions to open-source or developer communities.
