Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Any UST
Experience Required: 6+ Years

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tools.

• Manage and support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, including managing production-grade clusters.

• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible to provision and configure cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure).

• Maintain and enforce best practices for version control and code integration using Git and GitHub.

• Develop and manage YAML configurations for CI/CD workflows, Kubernetes deployments, and infrastructure automation.

• Collaborate with development and QA teams to automate code quality checks and testing processes using tools like SonarQube and Checkstyle.

• Build and maintain monitoring and ing systems using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools to ensure high availability and performance of services.

• Write robust and reusable scripts in Bash, PowerShell, and Python to automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency.

• Implement security best practices in DevOps workflows and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

• Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, and infrastructure problems in production and non-production environments.

Must-Have Skills:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or similar roles.

• Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.

• Expertise in Git, GitHub, and branching/merging/versioning best practices.

• Solid hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster management.

• Strong scripting ability in at least two of the following: Bash, PowerShell, Python.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.

• Proficiency in writing and managing YAML configurations.

• Experience with code quality and static analysis tools like SonarQube and Checkstyle.

• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.

• Practical knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with other CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).

• Familiarity with Helm charts and managing Helm-based deployments in Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of security tools and DevSecOps principles.

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.

• Familiarity with container security, network policies, and role-based access control (RBAC) in Kubernetes.

• Exposure to agile methodologies and collaborative DevOps environments.
