Job Summary As an IT Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and strategic sourcing of IT products and services. This role involves analyzing industry trends, developing long-term strategies, and fostering relationships with vendors to ensure the best pricing and quality. You will work closely with various departments to align IT procurement with business goals and drive sustainable growth. What you'll do? Analyze industry and consumer trends to inform procurement strategies. Create long-term development plans for IT product categories. Build and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate better pricing and quality. Optimize costs through effective negotiation and strategic sourcing. Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement. IT Subcategories Hardware: Computers, servers, networking equipment, peripherals. Software: Enterprise applications, operating systems, productivity tools, security software. Cloud Services: SaaS, IaaS, PaaS solutions. Telecommunications: VoIP systems, mobile devices, communication platforms. IT Services: Managed services, consulting, technical support. Data Storage: Storage solutions, backup systems, data centers. Networking: Routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs. Cybersecurity: Security solutions, threat detection, compliance tools. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 5 years in IT procurement or category management. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and negotiation abilities. In-depth understanding of IT products and services, market trends, and procurement processes. Commercial mindset with the ability to understand and drive business profitability. Keen attention to detail in managing product categories.
