Job Summary:

The Head of Business Development will spearhead the firm’s growth strategy across domestic and international markets,

identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and leading the BD team to secure high-value

projects. With 20+ years of global experience in the AEC industry, the ideal candidate brings a robust network, deep

market insight, and a proven track record of driving sustainable revenue growth through strategic leadership and

relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the firm’s business development strategy across architecture, engineering, and construction

services.

• Identify new market segments, geographies, and clients—both public and private sector—aligned with the firm’s

capabilities and growth objectives.

• Lead high-level client engagement, RFP/RFQ responses, bid submissions, and contract negotiations.

• Build and nurture strategic alliances, JV partnerships, and global collaborations to expand service offerings and

reach.

• Leverage industry intelligence, competitive analysis, and global trends to position the firm ahead of market shifts.

• Develop and manage a high-performing BD team; mentor mid-level professionals in proposal writing, client

management, and sales strategy.

• Collaborate with internal teams (design, project delivery, marketing, legal) to ensure integrated client solutions.

• Represent the firm at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events globally.

• Track KPIs and report progress to leadership, including sales pipeline, conversion rates, and strategic wins/losses.

• Oversee CRM systems, client databases, and business intelligence tools for efficient tracking and reporting.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Business

Administration.• 15+ years of progressive experience in business development within the global AEC industry.

• Demonstrated success in securing large-scale, high-value projects across international markets.

• Deep understanding of architecture, engineering, design-build, and infrastructure development practices.

• Strong network of decision-makers in government bodies, private sector developers, international agencies, and

consultants.

• Proven leadership experience with a strategic mindset and excellent negotiation skills.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with cross-cultural fluency.

• Familiarity with global procurement processes, design-bid-build and EPC contracts, and international regulatory

environments.

• Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or executive management certification from a reputed global institution.

• Experience working in/with firms across USA, Canada, Middle East, Europe.
