Job Summary -

ETL Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain
ETL pipelines
using
Informatica BDM/DEI
for batch and real-time data integration
Integrate data from diverse sources including relational databases, flat files, cloud storage, and
big data platforms
such as Hive and Spark
Translate business and technical requirements into
mapping specifications
and transformation logic
Optimize
mappings, workflows
, and job executions to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability
Conduct
unit testing
and participate in integration and system testing
Collaborate with
data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders
to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions
Support data quality checks, exception handling, and metadata documentation
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ETL job issues and performance bottlenecks
Ensure adherence to
data governance
and
compliance
standards throughout the development lifecycle

Key Skills and Qualification

5-8 years of experience in
ETL development
with a focus on
Informatica BDM/DEI
Strong knowledge of
data integration techniques
, transformation logic, and job orchestration
Proficiency in
SQL
, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries
Experience working with
Hadoop ecosystems
(e.g., Hive, HDFS, Spark) and large-volume data processing
Understanding of performance optimization in ETL and big data environments
Familiarity with job scheduling tools and workflow orchestration (e.g., Control-M, Apache Airflow, Oozie)
Good understanding of
data warehousing
,
data lakes
, and
data modeling principles
Experience working in
Agile/Scrum
environments
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Good to have

Experience with
cloud data platforms
(AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or GCP Dataflow)
Exposure to
Informatica IDQ (Data Quality)
is a plus
Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or automation tools
Informatica or Big Data certifications
