Role Overview:

Business Development Executive


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive lead generation through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and networking to identify prospective clients
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to increase pipeline and drive consistent revenue growth
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging technology areas
  • Engage directly with clients to understand business challenges and propose ERP-based solutions
  • Work with internal technical teams to prepare customised ERP demos, proposals, and presentations
  • Manage the entire sales lifecycle – from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and deal closure
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and update CRM systems regularly with accurate pipeline data
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent ERP capabilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide client feedback for product and service enhancement


Core Skill Set:

  • Proven ability to manage B2B sales or business development processes in the ERP or IT services domain
  • Understanding of enterprise sales cycles and consultative selling techniques
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client engagement skills
  • Ability to independently manage lead generation and opportunity nurturing
  • Experience using CRM platforms for lead tracking, reporting, and forecasting
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and target-driven with strong multitasking skills


Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in business development or sales for ERP or IT services
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation, proposal creation, and closing B2B deals
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and client pain points in enterprise digital transformation
  • Experience managing full sales lifecycle – discovery, proposal, negotiation, and closure
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a client-first approach


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or PGDM in Marketing, International Business, or a related discipline
  • Experience working in fast-paced IT services or consulting firms
  • Prior exposure to enterprise or mid-market ERP products (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle)
  • Familiarity with outbound prospecting tools, sales automation platforms, and CRM systems
  • Participation in ERP solution roadshows, demos, or pre-sales collaborations
