Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement enterprise-level data quality and governance strategies aligned with business objectives.

Establish data quality KPIs, policies, and frameworks across pipelines in Azure, Databricks, SQL, Mongo, and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS.

Build and maintain robust data quality monitoring processes and automated validation rules.

Collaborate with data engineers , data scientist and architects to embed quality checks in ETL/ELT pipelines and data lakehouse structures.

Lead initiatives to identify data issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

Define metadata standards, data profiling methods, and data lineage documentation practices.

Partner with business units to create and enforce data ownership, stewardship, and usage standards.

Establish clear data SLAs and ensure ongoing compliance across reporting and analytics systems.

Evaluate and implement tools and technologies to support scalable and automated data quality solutions.

Support regulatory and audit needs by ensuring data traceability and compliance readiness.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
8+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, or data management roles.
-
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, etc.) and Databricks.

Proficient in SQL and experience working with large-scale relational and analytical data stores.

Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS for reporting and analytics.

Experience defining and measuring data quality metrics and KPIs.

Proven ability to design and enforce data governance frameworks.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with both technical and business audiences.

Prior leadership or mentoring experience in building and scaling data quality functions is a plus.
Nice to Have:

Exposure to data cataloging tools like Purview, Collibra, or Alation.

Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy industries.
-
Familiarity with ML-based data anomaly detection or AI-driven governance tools.
