Role Responsibilities Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity and compliance. Establish data management policies, standards, and procedures for effective data governance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote best practices in data governance. Monitor compliance with data privacy regulations and internal policies. Coordinate data quality assessments and remediation efforts. Identify and mitigate data risks through comprehensive analysis. Facilitate training sessions for staff on data governance best practices. Manage metadata and data lineage documentation for critical data assets. Engage with stakeholders to understand data governance needs and challenges. Report on data governance metrics and effectiveness to senior management. Stay updated with industry trends and regulations related to data governance. Act as a point of contact for any data governance-related inquiries. Support data stewardship initiatives and promote organizational data literacy. Assist in the development of data governance tools and technology solutions. Lead projects related to data governance and data quality improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in data governance or a related role. Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices. Experience with data management tools and technologies. Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to data. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting techniques. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Project management experience is a plus. Certifications in data governance (e.g., DGSP, CDMP) are preferred. Familiarity with data visualization tools is an advantage. Experience in metadata management practices. Ability to adapt to evolving data landscapes and requirements. Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and drive change.
