Job description Job Design: Business Development Executive Reporting Manager : Business Development Manager Role Overview: We are looking for a passionate and strategic Business Development Executive to accelerate edexe learning’s presence in the EdTech industry. This role goes beyond traditional sales — it’s about identifying growth opportunities, building lasting partnerships, and executing strategies that contribute to both short-term wins and long-term success. Key Responsibilities: Sales and Business Expansion: Conduct meetings, demos, and presentations to promote edexe’s offerings and close deals that align with growth goals. Engage in proactive tele-sales by making outbound calls, sending follow-up messages, and conducting virtual consultations to identify potential clients, explain services, and drive conversions efficiently. Client & Partner Relationship Management: Nurture relationships with existing clients and strategic partners to strengthen retention and referrals. Lead Utilization & Management: Ensure all generated leads are recorded, organized, followed up, and effectively managed in the CRM to improve conversions and results. Market Intelligence: Conduct continuous research on industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions. Growth Strategy Execution: Work closely with leadership to implement business development initiatives, including regional expansions, collaborations, and campaigns. Performance Analysis: Track performance metrics, analyze growth patterns, and suggest data-driven improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Media & PR, Academics, and Product teams to ensure a unified growth vision. Timely Reporting: Provide regular updates and progress reports to the Growth Coordinator or Sales Lead. Goals and Activity Schedule Short-Term Goals : Understand edexe learning’s product offerings, value proposition, and target audience. Develop a working relationship with the sales and academic teams. Gain hands-on experience with the CRM and reporting tools. Long-Term Goals : Expand edexe’s market reach into new cities or educational segments. Contribute to the design and execution of large-scale growth campaigns. Daily Activities: Daily Target achievement Connect with customers and conduct meetings or demos to explain how the product works. Update CRM with lead status and notes from interactions. Follow up with clients. Weekly Activities: Analyze weekly performance metrics (conversion rate, outreach, closures). Connect with interested customers and follow up at least once a week. Research new business sectors, expansion opportunities, and competitor strategies. Participate in strategy or training sessions. Coordinate with the marketing team for campaign alignment. If any doubts arise regarding programs or offerings, connect with the Academic Coordinator for clarification. Monthly Activities: Review and present sales performance to the team lead or coordinator. Create a growth report highlighting achievements, challenges, and future plans. Attend networking events, webinars, or educational expos if applicable. Recommend and plan for improvement based on client feedback. Set and review monthly goals and targets with leadership.
