You’ll be the primary engineer behind the APIs and micro-services that power our SaaS products. Expect green-field architecture decisions, rapid sprints, and code that ships to users every week.

Key Responsibilities

Design & build scalable REST/GraphQL services in Node.js / TypeScript (or Python/Go).
Model data in PostgreSQL (plus Redis / Mongo where it makes sense).
Own cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) with Terraform / Pulumi and Docker/K8s.
Implement automated CI/CD, unit & integration tests, and observability (Prometheus, Loki).
Enforce security best-practices (JWT/OAuth2, OWASP top-10 hardening).
Mentor junior devs; review PRs for performance, readability, and scalability.
Work with Product & Front-end to scope, estimate, and deliver features on two-week sprints.

Must-Have Qualifications

2+ yrs building production back-ends at a product or high-traffic services company.
Deep proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node) or Python/Go with strong OOP / FP concepts.
Hands-on with SQL query optimisation and schema design.
Real-world experience deploying to AWS (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3) or GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL).
Solid grasp of Docker, one CI platform (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), and monitoring stacks.
Comfortable with code reviews, agile boards, and writing concise technical docs.

Nice-to-Have

Event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
GraphQL, gRPC, or WebSockets in production.
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi).
Knowledge of security/compliance standards (SOC2, ISO 27001).
Experience mentoring or leading a small team.
