Automation Engineer

Title: Automation Engineer Playwright

Location: Bangalore Work from Office

Job Type: Fulltime

looking for candidates who can join immediately or have a notice period of no more than 15 days, as these are best suited for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Scripting: Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end test scripts using Playwright to validate functionality and performance.

Framework Setup: Set up and configure Playwright-based test automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing ones.

CI/CD Integration: Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) to support continuous testing and deployment.

Cross-Browser Testing: Execute automated tests across multiple browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari.

Test Design: Analyze requirements, create detailed test scenarios, and maintain test cases and test data.

Advanced Features: Work with features like assertions, API mocking, authentication flows, and mobile/responsive testing.

Containerization: Use Docker or similar tools for containerized deployment and execution of test suites.

Collaboration: Coordinate with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to understand features and deliver stable test coverage.

Reporting: Generate test execution reports and provide regular feedback on product quality and release readiness.

Required Qualifications:

3–6 years of hands-on experience in automated testing, especially with Playwright.

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Python is a plus).

Experience in setting up test automation frameworks and writing reusable test components.

Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).

Basic experience with Docker or container-based test execution.

Familiarity with REST API testing, mocking responses, and using tools like Postman.

Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Good to Have:

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

ISTQB or similar testing certifications.

Basic knowledge of performance testing tools or concepts.
