Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, and modern Android architectural patterns (MVVM/MVI),

Must-Have Qualifications:

✔ 10+ years of Android development (Kotlin mandatory, Java interoperability knowledge).

✔ Expert-level proficiency in Jetpack Compose (and experience with the View system for migration).

✔ Strong experience in screenshot testing (Shot, Paparazzi, or similar).

✔ Deep understanding of Android architecture (MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture, Repository Pattern).

✔ Performance optimization (memory management, coroutines/flows, profiling tools).

✔ Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Firebase App Distribution).

✔ Leadership skills – ability to mentor teams and drive technical decisions.

✔ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Lead the design and architecture of Android applications using Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, and modern Android frameworks.
• Define coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines (MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture).
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.

Development & Innovation:

• Build high-performance, maintainable apps using Jetpack Compose and Kotlin.
• Implement modern Android architectural patterns (MVVM/MVI, Repository Pattern, Use Cases).
• Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs and optimize data caching/persistence (Room, DataStore).

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Write screenshot tests (using frameworks like Shot, Paparazzi, or Roborazzi).
• Implement unit tests (JUnit, MockK) and integration tests (Espresso).
• Ensure high test coverage and CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, CircleCI).

Performance & Debugging:

• Optimize app performance (startup time, memory usage, rendering efficiency).
• Diagnose and resolve bottlenecks, ANRs, and crashes using Android Profiler, Systrace.
• Ensure smooth UI rendering in Jetpack Compose (recomposition optimizations).

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to align on features.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Drive technical decision-making and innovation.
