Android Developer

Job Description: We are looking for a talented Android Developer to join our team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance mobile applications for the Android platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-friendly applications that offer a seamless and engaging user experience. Key Responsibilities: Android Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java . Performance Optimization: Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by optimizing code and resolving bottlenecks. Testing & Debugging: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Debug and resolve issues while writing and running unit and UI tests to ensure app reliability. Continuous Integration: Participate in continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) to automate building, testing, and deploying Android apps. Collaboration: Work in a collaborative team environment with product managers, designers, and other developers to ship new features and improve existing ones. Required Skills: Android Development: Strong experience with Kotlin and/or Java for Android app development. Android SDK: In-depth knowledge of the Android SDK , Android design principles, and interface guidelines. Jetpack Components: Familiarity with Android Jetpack components like LiveData , ViewModel , Room , Navigation , and WorkManager . MVVM Architecture: Understanding of architecture patterns such as MVVM , MVP , or Clean Architecture for organizing Android projects. Third-Party Libraries: Knowledge of common Android libraries like Dagger , Hilt , Glide , Picasso , and Firebase for push notifications and analytics. CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins , CircleCI , or GitHub Actions . Performance Profiling: Familiarity with performance profiling tools such as Android Profiler and LeakCanary for optimizing memory usage and app performance. Testing: Knowledge of automated testing frameworks like JUnit , Espresso , or Robolectric . Material Design: Proficiency in implementing Material Design components and following Google’s UI/UX best practices.
