Job Purpose
To lead and manage the vertical operations of the manufacturing business with a techno-commercial focus, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of production, quality, planning, business development, project execution, and continuous improvement, while also overseeing skill development and audit compliance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Business Planning

*

Define and implement strategic business plans for the vertical to achieve profitability and growth targets.

*

Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies.

*

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for the vertical.

2. Techno-Commercial Management

*

Drive cost optimization and pricing strategies in alignment with market dynamics and production capabilities.

*

Collaborate with sales and technical teams to convert client needs into deliverable, cost-effective solutions.

3. Project Management

*

Lead end-to-end project execution across product development, plant upgrades, capacity expansion, or customer solutions.

*

Ensure timely completion of projects within scope, budget, and quality parameters.

*

Implement project tracking and reporting systems.

4. Production Management

*

Oversee day-to-day operations across production units, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity.

*

Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM practices.

*

Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and maintenance for smooth operations.

5. Quality & Compliance

*

Establish and maintain quality standards in line with industry certifications (ISO, IATF, etc.).

*

Lead root-cause analysis and continual improvement initiatives.

*

Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

6. Audit & Risk Management

*

Develop audit protocols and conduct regular internal audits to ensure process adherence.

*

Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.

*

Lead third-party, statutory, and customer audits.

7. Skill Development & Team Leadership

*

Identify skill gaps and lead capability-building programs for cross-functional teams.

*

Mentor mid-level managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

*

Drive team performance through clear KPIs, coaching, and performance reviews.

8. Business Development

*

Build and maintain relationships with key customers, vendors, and stakeholders.

*

Contribute to customer satisfaction, retention, and acquisition.

*

Participate in negotiations, proposals, and contract management.

Qualifications & Skills
Education

*

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Production preferred);

*

MBA in Operations/Strategy/Marketing is a plus.

Experience

*

15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.

*

Proven track record in project management, operations optimization, and techno-commercial decision-making.
