Motion Technologies: (Revenue of $1.4B; headcount of ~ 4,000; operates in 13 countries) manufactures brake components and specialized sealing solutions, shock absorbers and damping technologies primarily for the global automotive, truck and trailer, public bus and rail transportation markets.
Industrial Process: (Revenue of $1.4B; headcount of ~3,400; operates in 30 countries) manufactures engineered fluid process equipment serving a diversified mix of customers in global industries such as chemical, energy, mining, and other industrial process markets and is a provider of plant optimization and efficiency solutions and aftermarket services and parts.
Connect and Control Technologies: (Revenue of $0.8B; headcount of ~ 3,800; operates in 10 countries) manufactures harsh-environment connector solutions, critical energy absorption, flow control components, and composite materials for the aerospace and defense, general industrial, medical, and energy markets.

Position Summary

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Responsible for Global Performance Test Engineering for the Industrial Process centrifugal pump group to ensure high quality and consistency in global performance test operations.

Essential Responsibilities

SCOPE AND MAGNITUDE

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Describe scope and magnitude in specific terms of project size, budgets, sales volume, operational impact, and personnel.

State formal education level, work experience, & specialization required. State additional professional, technical, skills or knowledge required.

Coach, train, and mentor global engineering and test personnel.

Review results of pump performance tests and discuss results with internal and external stakeholders.

Compile accurate global data on 1st pass test yield and lead improvement initiatives with Design Centers.

Provide 2nd line troubleshooting support for pump test failures

Lead standardization of the company’s global test programs, test standards, test data, and standard work instructions.

Provide leadership and technical support in designing and improving test capability of Global IP test facilities.

Up to 50% Travel, Domestic and International

Education: BS Engineering in Mechanical Eng. and/or Electrical Eng.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in the testing of pumps or equivalent

Skills/knowledge:

Knowledge of the testing and troubleshooting of centrifugal pumps (vibration & hydraulic)

Knowledge of test instrumentation, measurement & setup (Head, Flow, Power, Temperature, Vibration, Displacement)

Knowledge of a programming language (Labview & Visual Studio preferred)

Knowledge of calibration process/procedures

Interpersonal, communication, project management & VBLSS skills.

Knowledge of pump manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of industry test standards including API, ANSI, ISO, HI, etc.

Creativity (i.e. the ability to approach problems in non-traditional fashion).

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.

Ability to identify barriers to success and find solutions working across the organization.

Effective written and verbal communication.

Position Requirements
