A Student Recruitment Officer's primary responsibility is to attract and enrol new students into IHM's courses. This involves promoting the institution's programs, engaging with prospective students, and guiding them through the application process. They play a crucial role in achieving enrollment targets and contributing to the institution's overall growth. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Promoting Programs:

  Student Recruitment Officers are required to actively promote the institution's programs to prospective students through various channels, including school visits, career fairs, information sessions, and online platforms. 

• Engaging with Prospective Students:

  They are required to interact with prospective students, answer their enquiries, and provide guidance on course selection, admission requirements, and the application process. 

• Guiding the Application Process:

  They are required to assist students in completing application forms, writing personal statements, and preparing for interviews, ensuring a smooth and efficient application experience. 

• Representing the Institution:

  They are required to act as ambassadors for the institution, building relationships with schools, counsellors, and community organisations to foster a positive image and attract potential students. 

• Data Management and Analysis:

  They are required to use customer relationship management (CRM) systems and other data management tools to track student interactions, analyse recruitment trends, and measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies. 

• Collaboration:

  They are required to work closely with other departments, such as digital marketing, admissions, and academic staff, to ensure a coordinated and effective recruitment effort. 

• Staying Updated:

  They are required to keep abreast of changes in the education sector, competitor activities, and best practices in student recruitment to adapt their strategies and maintain a competitive edge. 

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Communication Skills:

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with prospective students, delivering presentations, and writing promotional materials. 

• Interpersonal Skills:

  Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for building rapport with students, parents, and other stakeholders. 

• Organisational Skills:

  Effective organisational skills are necessary for managing multiple tasks, prioritising work, and meeting deadlines. 

• Sales and Persuasion Skills:

  While not always a formal sales role, the ability to persuade and influence prospective students is valuable and in this role you will be required to meet your monthly / intake student enrollment target.

• Knowledge of the Australian Education Sector:

  A good understanding of the Australian education landscape, including admission requirements, academic programs, and student support services, is essential. 

• IT Skills:

  Proficiency in using CRM systems, social media platforms, and other relevant technologies is often required

• Experience in Student Assessment and Guidance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to using technology in education
• Ability to work effectively on-site in Kochi
• Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant field
• Experience in higher education or healthcare education is beneficial
