The Role:

The Student Recruitment Advisor will be responsible for planning and executing student recruitment strategies for the University in India. This includes managing key stakeholders, increasing student enrolments, and implementing targeted recruitment initiatives aligned with the university’s strategic goals.

The role involves direct engagement with students, education agents, high schools, and institutions to promote the university’s programs and guide prospective applicants through the admission process. The role holder will also collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to enhance the university’s brand presence in India.


Key Responsibilities:

Student Recruitment & Conversion

  • Develop and execute a recruitment strategy to increase student enrolments from India.
  • Engage with prospective students, parents, and counsellors, providing guidance on program offerings, entry requirements, visa procedures, and career prospects.
  • Manage the entire student conversion process, from inquiry to enrolment, ensuring a seamless experience for applicants.
  • Conduct follow-ups with offer holders and guide them through the visa and pre-departure processes.

Stakeholder & Agent Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with education agents, high school counsellors, and partner institutions to maximize recruitment opportunities.
  • Provide training, updates, and support to agent networks to ensure accurate representation of the university.
  • Develop and implement a performance evaluation process for agents to ensure effectiveness.

Event Planning & Representation

  • Represent the university at education fairs, exhibitions, school visits, and recruitment events across India (both online and offline).
  • Organize and support student engagement initiatives, including information sessions, webinars, and pre-departure events.
  • Assist in coordinating faculty and university representatives’ visits to India.

Market Research & Strategy Development

  • Conduct market research to identify student trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities for student recruitment.
  • Provide data-driven insights and reports on student recruitment activities and campaign effectiveness.
  • Track student inquiries and application trends using CRM systems, ensuring accurate data management.

Marketing & Outreach

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop localized recruitment materials, digital campaigns, and promotional strategies for the Indian market.
  • Assist in promoting scholarships, exchange programs, and funding opportunities to prospective students.
  • Utilize social media, webinars, and digital platforms to engage with target audiences and enhance brand visibility.

Compliance & Operational Support

  • Ensure compliance with German visa regulations and university admission policies when advising students.
  • Maintain records of recruitment activities, event participation, and student inquiries for reporting purposes.
  • Work with internal teams to streamline recruitment processes and improve applicant experience.


Person Specification:

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in student recruitment, business development, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of higher education systems, particularly in Germany and India.
  • Experience in working with education agents, high school counsellors, and recruitment networks.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; proficiency in German is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and virtual event platforms.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within India and occasionally to Germany.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Familiarity with German university admission processes, visa requirements, and student life.
  • Experience in event management and organizing recruitment activities.
  • Knowledge of social media and digital marketing strategies for student outreach.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role in international education.


Terms & Conditions:

  • Travel: Frequent travel within India and occasional international travel to Germany for training and collaboration. A valid passport is required.
  • Start Date: Immediate availability preferred (notice period will be honoured).
