About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Java) to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements. Location. This role is office-based at our Trivandrum, Kerala office. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java-based applications. Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements. Lead architecture and design discussions to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and industry standards. Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers. Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex issues. Ensure security, reliability, and scalability in software design and development. Stay up to date with the latest technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to improve development processes. Participate in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Java development. Strong knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA. Experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture. Proficiency in database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, Angular, or React is a plus. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is desirable. Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Exposure to test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks. Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git.
