Senior Software Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Define, develop and evolve software using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure

• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI/CD, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

• Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using language of choice

• Lead the discussions in CDRs(Critical Design Reviews), Design reviews, and other technical activities in the team including Load testing and Performance testing

• Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with basic experience.

• Over 6 years of working experience in software development in Java/J2EE and developing REST-based Microservices using Spring framework (Boot, JPA/Hibernate, Security) and hands-on continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) experience with Jenkins, GIT

• Working experience with web development using HTML5, Java Script, jQuery, CSS, Angular JS, Angular 13 or above

• Experience of deploying microservices as Docker containers and managing container lifecycle through Kubernetes

• Experience of building web services on Cloud platform (AWS), Object storage (S3)

• Aware of methods and practices such as Lean/Agile etc. and prior work experience in an agile environment.

• General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the software development life cycle.
