Job Summary:

Senior Java Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java-based backend systems and RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions
• Drive the adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, QA, and production environments
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and mentoring junior developers
• Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and aligned with architectural standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and innovation within the engineering team

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of professional experience in Java development (Java 8 or newer)
• Strong expertise in building REST APIs, microservices, and backend services
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworks
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern development practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a large enterprise or Fortune 500/100 environment
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Exposure to frontend technologies is a plus
