Senior Architect

The Senior Architect will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing architectural projects from inception to completion. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of building codes, sustainability, and architectural trends. The Senior Architect will lead teams of designers and engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution of projects. In addition to design responsibilities, this role includes client interaction, team management, and collaboration with other stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Planning:

• Lead and manage architectural design projects, from conceptual design through to construction documentation.
• Develop and present innovative design solutions that meet client needs while adhering to project constraints (budget, timeline, regulations).
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
• Oversee the selection of materials, systems, and finishes in coordination with engineers and other professionals.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine project viability.

Project Management:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with internal teams (design, engineering, construction) and external consultants (structural, MEP, landscape) to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Review project progress regularly, resolve any design issues, and provide guidance to junior architects or project staff.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth project flow and resolve any project-related issues.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards throughout.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Lead and mentor a team of architects and junior designers, offering guidance and feedback on design solutions and professional development.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between the design team, construction teams, and clients.
• Conduct team meetings to ensure clear project objectives and tasks are understood and achieved.
• Promote innovative design thinking, best practices, and sustainability within the team.
• Foster a collaborative and creative working environment.

Client Relations & Business Development:

• Develop strong client relationships, understanding their needs and expectations, and translating them into actionable design solutions.
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients, including conceptual designs, cost estimates, and project timelines.
• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposal submissions, presentations, and client meetings.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and building practices, and integrate them into design solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (or related field). Licensed Architect (AIA, RIBA, or equivalent).
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in architectural design, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior or leadership position.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and other design software. Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering tools is a plus.
• Project Management: Strong understanding of project management principles, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and sustainable design practices (LEED, BREEAM, etc.).
• Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Comfortable interacting with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative design solutions.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Desirable Attributes

• Strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of completed projects, including residential, commercial, or public spaces.
• Experience with sustainable and environmentally responsible design practices.
• Knowledge of advanced design technologies (parametric design, BIM, etc.).
• Ability to mentor and inspire junior architects and designers.
• Strong client-facing experience, capable of presenting designs clearly and effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
