Quality Assurance Tester

As a Quality Assurance Tester, your primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and functionality of software products by performing rigorous testing procedures. You will work closely with the development team to identify and resolve defects, ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards of quality and user satisfaction. Your role involves executing test cases, identifying bugs, and documenting test results to provide valuable feedback to the development team. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, participate in test planning and strategy development, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execute test cases and scenarios to identify software defects and ensure product functionality meets specified requirements.
2. Collaborate with the development team to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve identified defects.
3. Document test results, defects, and issues encountered during testing, ensuring clear and concise communication to relevant stakeholders.
4. Participate in requirement analysis and review to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with project objectives.
5. Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
6. Contribute to the creation and enhancement of automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve efficiency and test coverage.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
8. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
9. Provide input into the overall QA strategy, including test planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
10. Actively participate in team meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospective meetings to drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the QA team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance testing, preferably in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
• Proficiency in test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail), defect tracking systems, and test automation tools (e.g., Selenium).
• Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases for data validation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with performance testing, security testing, and mobile testing is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are desirable.
• Having knowledge of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) is advantageous.
